Reads blueprints.

Mixes mortar; lays bricks and stones and/or concrete sidewalks; makes and repairs steps.

Installs and repairs tile floors and/or retaining walls and other brick or stone edifices.

Install  panels of drywall into the frameworks of buildings.

Creates an effective and well- protected  building.

Ensures they have the necessary tools and  material to perform the tasks required.

Conduct building surveys (inspect properties on behalf of would-be buyers).

They report on the building’s condition, for example if there is damp, and what any repairs would cost.

Oversee, design and decide what needs to be done on simpler construction projects that don’t require an architect.

Plans, develops and coordinates activities which relate to the building of structures including residential  or commercial.

Inspects  project site and evaluates contractor work to detect design flaws and guarantee conformance to design specification  and applicable codes. 

Consults with architects to agree on the design of the structure to build.  

Develops, plans and makes revisions as work progresses . 

Facilitates the identification of possible risks in the project design and put measures in place to militate against them.

Plans and coordinates manpower, equipment, material, supplies, and the sub-contracted services, towards the completion of the work on schedule with approved drawings and specifications, taking into consideration the safety, quality, time and cost targets.
